چکیده

Reacting to unpredictable situations is one of the main problems in technical automation. This article introduces two developed framework for decision units for embodied autonomous agents. The models are compared to an existing architecture, the BDI architecture. The basis of the described model is using psychoanalytical concepts. Drives, emotions and wishes are the basics that build a reaction due to an existing situation. A concept of strategy planning, using the Freudian wish has been described. Using a concept of thinking of the humans psyche that develops during childhood, the difference between thing presentations and word presentations is shown and based upon that, a possible learning strategy is elaborated. Keywords— Autonomous Agents, Perceptive Awareness, Decision Unit, Ubiquitous Computing.

A Context-aware Architecture for Mental Model Sharing through Semantic Movement in Intelligent Agents

Recent studies in multi-agent systems are paying increasingly more attention to the paradigm of designing intelligent agents with human inspired concepts. One of the main cognitive concepts driving the core of many recent approaches in multi agent systems is shared mental models. In this paper, we propose an architecture for sharing mental models based on a new concept called semantic movement....

Consensus and disturbance attenuation in multi-agent chains with nonlinear control and time delays

In this paper, we investigate consensus and disturbance attenuation in a chain of mobile agents, which include non-autonomous agents, semi-autonomous agents and autonomous agents. In particular, the nonlinear dynamics of non-autonomous agents is given and cannot be designed, while the dynamics of semi-autonomous and autonomous agents can be partially and fully designed, respectively. To improve...

Autonomous and Adaptive Agents that Gather Information

We have designed and implemented autonomous software agents. Our agents are programs that can move independently through a heterogeneous network of computers. They can sense the state of the network, monitor software conditions, and interact with other agents. The network-sensing tools allow our agents to adapt to the network configuration and to navigate under the control of reactive plans. In...

Robots are Agents , Too ! Gal

Recent years are seeing a worrisome decline in the activity of roboticists within the Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems (AAMAS) community. Robotics papers, that were abundant in the early Autonomous Agents conferences, have almost disappeared in recent editions of the International Joint Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems. To some, this trend seems natural. After al...
